| Here's the history behind my car:
It started out as a stock '88 and it took about 2 years to build, through most of 1990 and 1991. It was built for a corvette dealership in Bronx NY. By built I mean: -Complete "Stalker" conversion kit installed, -Custom "splatter paint" -Carroll Supercharger installed (burns denatured alcohol) -Chrome in motor is hand etched -Windshield, side windows and side mirror glass is hand etched in colors (blues & pinks) -"Stalker" is embroidered in the seat headrests - Stalker is painted on top of windshield in 6" letters -2 12" subwoofers installed with 4 amps (picture attached). I replaced the stereo last year. -Custom rims -Pink neon lights underneath the car -Blue neon lights on the interior The interior had teak wood trim which I tore out and put the entire dash back to original. Also replaced the door panels - back to original. The dealership went out of business in the mid 90's and the car was sold privately. A Dr in NJ bought it for his wife who then only drove it once. The first time she drove it, she kicked in the supercharger and had it sideways. She refused to drive it again, so after it sat in the garage for about 2 years he sold it.......and it's now mine! Definitely her loss.... I dyno'd it late last year and found that I need to open up the exhaust a bit to get the full horsepower out of it. With the supercharger it's supposed to get 450 hp. Since it still has the stock exhaust on it, it's restricting the air flow. So I'll be looking to put a different exhaust on later this year. And I'll probably look at replacing the speaker and amp system, with the new technology I can get a better sound and take up half the space. But all in good time....... The one thing that I really love about the car is that it definitely a womans car - there's no mistake about it. And my girlfriend and I look great in it on our way to the shore..... |
