Sheri Miller's

1966 Mossport Green Coupe

 Sheri's Story

Sheri worked at her father’s Shell Gas Station in Miamisburg, Ohio, during the summer of 1967.  It was very unusual for a female to work at a gas station in that era.  This was before self-serve gas stations came into existence.  Every customer that pulled onto the lot, had their gas pumped, oil checked, and windshields cleaned, all by the attendant.

Somehow, the DAYTON DAILY NEWS (Dayton, Ohio) heard of this unusual situation; a female gas station attendant, and chose to do a story about this young lady.

Having given prior notice that the DAYTON DAILY NEWS would be coming to the gas station to do a story on her, Sheri requested her brother, Dennis Lutz, bring his car that day, for her to be working on for the photo portion of the story.

Sheri’s brother Dennis, owned at that time, a 1966 Mossport Green Corvette Coupe.  Sheri loved this car from the day he brought it home  from the dealership.  Sheri insisted that Dennis’s Corvette be in the photo shoot.

In December 2001, Sheri got the car she had been waited many years for.
